Substrate Characterization & Mapping

AFFILIATED RESEARCHERS utilizes side-scan and/or multi-beam hydrographic data to develop a color-coded delineation mosaic of the various substrate types to provide substrate characterization of lakes, harbors, rivers, canals, estuaries, and marine environments. These substrate characterization services are extremely beneficial in coastal zone management, invasive species studies, dredging and port construction, hydrology investigations and more.

AFFILIATED RESEARCHERS also utilizes GPS-enabled underwater photogrammetry to provide scaled, accurate, and geo-referenced color images as a method of verification and visualization.
