These services supported a critical aspect for the project. Affiliated Researchers utilized OPUS methods to establish local survey controls, set up an RTK-GPS base station, navigated to the designated sampling locations using RTK-GPS survey equipment, and accurately determined the elevation of the river bed and the depth of the accumulated sediments prior to each sampling. Affiliated Researchers utilized its shallow-water pontoon vibracore vessel to collect sediment core-samples at the project site.
